A high-resolution tiny intra-oral camera fits very comfortably in a patient’s mouth. This tiny camera will project accurate and detailed enlarged images of the inside of your mouth onto a screen. Both you and our dental team are able to view the images on the screen.
While digital imaging is a valuable diagnostic tool, it doesn’t always show everything that’s going on in your mouth. The intra-oral camera is a diagnostic tool about the size and shape of a dental mirror. It gives your dentists, and you, a video tour of your entire mouth.
The tiny intra-oral camera provides up to 25 times magnification, allowing for close examination of each individual tooth with images displayed on a television or computer monitor. Images can be stored with your Bay Dental Group patient file. Should you desire, imaging can be printed to go home with you.
Intra-oral video camera technology allows us to zoom in and identify dental issues or problems such as worn or broken fillings, cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings, excessive tooth wear and more.
